A HOST of fund-raising events are being staged in the run-up to this year's Astwood Bank Carnival.
A race night takes place at the Oddfellows Arms on May 8, followed by a teddy bears' picnic on May 11 at Astwood Bank Park and children's party featuring the Marionette Theatre at Astwood Bank First School on May 16.
Astwood Bank Operatic Society hosts an evening of song on May 10 and a sponsored fun run will be held on May 11.
And for the first time this year, in association with The Bear radio station, a talent night takes place on May 16, followed by a session from the Notorious Brothers.
The Official Receivers, supported by DJ Yogi, provide the entertainment on the evening of the carnival on May 17.
Tickets for all the events will be on sale at Sainsburys on Saturday, May 3, but are also available from the Tourist Information Centre, Alcester Street and Pete-the-Meat, Evesham Road.
