A 23-year-old man was due to appear at the Old Bailey today after being charged with the murder of an Evesham man found lying in a pool of blood in Harrow.
Patrick Fitzharris, aged 21, of Twin Oaks, Cleeve Prior, was repeatedly stabbed on a grassy area of Austen Road, Rayners Lane, and declared dead at the scene on Friday, April 4.
Jobless Leon Maxwell of Goldsmith Close, Rayners Lane, Harrow, appeared at Horseferry Road magistrates court in central London last Thursday charged with his murder.
He was remanded in custody until today's hearing.
An inquest into Mr Fitzharris's death was opened and adjourned at Hornsey coroner's court in north London on Wednesday, April 16.
Pathologist Dr Peter Jerreat gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the heart. He also had multiple stab wounds.
