FARM SHOP OPENING: Ann and Mick Meadows of Home Farm, Bredon's Norton have opened their farm shop. To perform the ceremony they welcomed Mike George, who introduces the morning programme on BBC Hereford and Worcester.
The shop will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am until 5pm. They are members of the Heart of England Fine Foods.
OUTWARD BOUND ASSOCIATION: At the AGM, the chairman, Tom Cutler, said that only one person, Greg Bayliss, went away on a course. Greg gave an account of his experiences and he particularly emphasised the benefits he derived from working and mixing with 12 strangers within his group.
A discussion took place about the apathy towards going on OB courses, which are heavily subsidised by the local association. Applications can still be considered. For information telephone 772311.
SAVE THE CHILDREN APPEAL: The week will begin on Saturday, when the local branch will have a shop open in Barton Street. Here they will sell anything and everything to raise funds, particularly towards the Iraqi Appeal. For information, phone 01684 773269 or 772477.
