THIRTEEN anglers caught 42 trout between them on the Masters trout lake with an average weight of 6lb.
The best flies were viva and buzzers though a Birmingham angler used a black fritz for a 6lb brown trout and a 4lb 10oz rainbow on his first day's fishing.
Viva and damsel nymphs proved the best flies on the Stella Lake with one angler catching five trout to 2lb 8oz using the latter.
On the Wyre Dell, it was viva and buzzers which were the most popular but a Shatterford Special snared a 7lb 8oz trout.
Though the top catch of 16 trout with a total weight of 18lb 8oz fell to a bloodworm, the best flies on the Andy Capp were viva and montana.
On the coarse Erics Lake, nine catfish and 23 carp were reported.
Kidderminster angler, Brooks, used luncheon meat to catch four carp to 20lb, while another angler preferred boilies and managed two catfish to 26lb and a 17lb carp.
The Gainsborough produced six catfish and 15 carp, including two catfish to 25lb and a carp for an angler who used boilies.
From the Stuarts Lake, mixed bags of roach, bream and carp to 35lb were reported, including a 14lb carp caught on a pole.
