I have lived locally all my life and served as ward councillor for 21 years.
I have considerable knowledge of Blakedown, Churchill and Broome and surrounding areas.
The attractive green belt we live in must be protected but I recognise that some development is essential, especially when it gives the old and young a chance to stay here.
As a governor of Blakedown School, I have the opportunity to encourage good basic learning and a commitment to families, neighbours and church.
Of particular concern to me are the dangers that face children, the disabled and senior citizens on the Birmingham Road, Belbroughton Road and Stakenbridge.
I will continue to push for safer crossings and enforcement of speed limits. Regional government is relentlessly being forced on us. It will cost more tax and take important decisions away from local communities.
