THE letter from John Robinson (Shuttle/Times & News, April 10) gives me the chance to proudly tell your readers about one of the best cycle routes in the country which is coming through the Wyre Forest.
Route 45 has the support of English Nature as the type of people who use it are unlikely to be the extreme group of mountain bikers that Mr Robinson fears.
Route 45 offers safe cycling for local people - families, children wanting independence to walk or cycle to the local schools, shops and countryside - and encourages people to enjoy our environment.
It is an opportunity to bring money into Wyre Forest from tourists who are likely to support our beliefs in the countryside - after all they will be travelling by bike or walking rather than polluting our community with more cars!
