Gary Watson lives in the ward he seeks to represent, at Lower Lickhill Road, with his wife and three-year-old son. He works at West Midland Safari Park.
He has been an active worker for the Labour Party in recent years and is now ready to use his undoubted energy for the wider community.
Gary believes that a Stourport relief road would bring great benefits to the town. He supports wholeheartedly the pressure being exerted by Labour to ensure that the full scheme will proceed.
He identifies two key benefits - the reduction in through traffic and new access points to enable town centre redevelopment.
"We are all familiar with the benefit of the reduction of traffic in the town centre.
"However, it is less well understood that the new route will open up the Severn Road and basin redevelopment sites.
"The road is a key part of Stourport's future".
