All Worcestershire doctors now have a copy of Guidance on the Management of CFS/ME at surgeries.
This action for ME publication was officially recommended by the Department of Health, to all GPs to assist them in the assessment and management of patients, based on the Chief Medical Officer's working group report published in January 2002.
The guide will help sufferers discuss their symptoms and treatment with their doctor.
The Worcestershire group arranges monthly informal gatherings in Worcester and Kidderminster, when sufferers, their carers, friends and relatives, are welcome. A library of relevant books and useful information is always available.
Sue Sztybel, herself a sufferer, will give a talk on Aloe Vera and Nutritional Supplements at the north Worcestershire meeting on Wednesday, April 30, at Kidderminster Library.
For further information on the group telephone chairman Ian Logan on 01886 888419, or co-ordinator Jill Pigott on 01905 455187, or visit www.geocities.com/worcsmegroup.
