THERE will be a sprinkling of local interest at Coventry Golf Club next Thursday at the Glenmuir Club Profes-sional Championship qualifier.
Former European Tour player Jeremy Robinson will join Chipping Norton pair Neil Rowlands and Mark McGeehan, Mark Fenning and Paul Edgc-ombe from the Vale Golf and Country Club and Evesham's Daniel Cum-mins on the tee.
The main aim of the local contingent will be to book one of the 17 places on offer to compete in the 72-hole Glen-muir final over the new St Andrews Bay course, seven miles from the home of golf in August.
In addition to the £10,000 cheque, the winner will gain an automatic place in the 2005 PGA Cup team - the club pro's version of the Ryder Cup - to meet the United States at a venue yet to be decided.
