TO CELEBRATE the 125th anniversary of the Cycle Touring Club, a couple of special events are planned for Sunday, May 4.
The local CTC is organising introductory rides from Eve-sham and Pershore that will be led by experienced cyclists and offering a choice of distances ranging from ten to 25 miles.
The shorter route which is suitable for families starts at 9.30am from the Market Square in Evesham.
The am is to reach Broadway for 11 when the group will meet up with the Pershore starters.
The ride will keep to quiet country lanes where possible.
The start time in Broad Street, Pershore is 9.30am and this longer journey over 25 miles will suit stronger riders.
Participants are expected to wear helmets and wear suitable clothing. The condition of the bikes is their own responsibility, while minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Riders will be taking part in the celebrations all over the country and newcomers are encouraged to come along for what promises to be an anniversary adventure.
More information is available from Alan Lord (Pershore) on 01905 821134 or Malcolm Benning (Evesham) on 01386 47048.
