IS it going to take a fatality or serious damage to property before something is done about the speeding problem in Charity Crescent, Evesham? I understand this has been debated in the past, the suggestion of speed bumps being dismissed as unfavourable. I can only assume those people not in favour are either not directly effected or themselves enjoy flaunting the speed restriction.
I live in a corner house off Charity Crescent so can assure you that I am directly effected. I would estimate that eight out of ten drivers do not respect the 30mph speed limit and I do not exaggerate when I say I have observed speeding in access of 50mph.
Late at night it often turns into Brands Hatch and I for one am fed up with it. Speed cameras or speed bumps are the only solution as far as I am concerned.
Our council tax has increased again this year,, I would actually like to see something to show for it for a change. If a councillor or local MP lived in my house I can guarantee some action would have been taken long ago.
CHERYL ANDERSON, Robinia Close, Evesham.
