YOUNG dancers dazzled a top professional adjudicator at this year's Worcester Stage Dance Festival.
Hundreds of dancers aged from three to 20 gathered at Christopher Whitehead High School for the four-day festival.
Each dancer was assessed by adjudicator Sue Latham, chairman of the West Midlands branch of the British and International Federation of Festivals, and six dancers received the highest possible marks.
"Miss Latham said the festival had been such a pleasure for her and because the standard of the festival was really, really high," said Christina Humphries, one of the festival committee members.
The festival ran from Monday, April 21 to yesterday from 9am to 8pm with competitors from Worcestershire dance schools as well as some travelling as far afield as Wakefield and Tamworth.
All varieties of dance were performed including ballet, modern jazz, group and interpretations of show tunes.
"The standard was excellent and so many of the pupils go on to further dance training in London and into professional theatre," said festival secretary Jean Adcock.
