A TALE of strength and religious inspiration at a time of tragedy forms the basis for a talk at Upton Memorial Hall.
Learning to Trust will see Jacqueline Davies tell her account of God's help after the loss of her daughter.
Eight years ago, Mrs Davies' son-in-law phoned from Holland to say her 32-year-old daughter Suzanne was dead. The Dutch police later convicted the son-in-law of Suzanne's killing, in an attempt to claim between £500,000 and £700,000.
Mrs Davies will tell her story and how God helped her both before and after Suzanne's death at an event organised by Upton Christian Viewpoint. This takes place on Thursday, May 1, at 7pm.
Tickets are £4.50, to include a finger buffet, tea and coffee. They are available from PS Presents on Old Street, Upton.
