CLOSEST finish of the day at the Croome and West Warwickshire Hunt point-to-point at Upton-upon-Severn on Tuesday was in the first division of the Maiden race.
Julian Pritchard's mount Chocolate Bombe seemed to have the race in safe keeping jumping the last, only to waver and lose ground on the run-in before holding on by a diminishing neck from the Mark Jackson ridden Coppermalt.
Title chasing jockey Richard Burton took another step closer to the title with a success on Run to the Glen in the PPORA Mares Maiden race, taking him onto the 25 winner mark for the season. This was his seventh win over the Easter Bank Holiday period.
