THE Chase Girls 1st XI completed a very good season when they won the County Sixth Form Tournament at Malvern Girls' College.
They have competed well with many of the top schools in the country and shown the depth of their skill and ability with qualification during the season for Midlands' finals at both Indoor and Outdoor Hockey.
The tireless efforts of captain Sophie Lloyd have been a driving force that has enabled the talented creativity of Amy Forsyth, Olivia Linton and Laura Macfarlane to flourish. Laura's experience, gained from her representation at national level, has seen her score many outstanding goals throughout the season.
This, together with some excellent defending from Talia Heaton, Jo Yorke and Stephanie Vincent, proving that a firm foundation allows the building to grow and develop.
The Sixth Form Tournament win is the 16th win in 18 years for The Chase girls, showing their dominance and reward for their commitment over the years.
Team coach Jane Powell has seen a variety of players throughout those 18 years and each group produces a slightly different style of play.
Powell said: "The common feature throughout all the teams has been that each team member is a wonderful ambassador for the school, showing discipline, determination and pride in stepping out in their school kit."
