WORLD famous singer Joan Armatrading is set to appear for a one-off concert in Gloucester.
The star will be the first major artist in Glevum Concert Hall at GL1, the new Gloucester Leisure Complex in the city centre.
The gig on Friday, May 2, will be part of the singer-songwriter's national tour, which takes in the Royal Albert Hall, to promote a new album Lovers Speak.
GL1 spokesman Ken Meekings said: "It's great to have major stars back in Gloucester. The old leisure centre built up a reputation over the years for hosting top notch entertainment, and Gloucester City Council wants The Glevum Hall at GL1 to once again host a wide range of the best national and international acts."
Tickets are £22 from 01594 544446 (9-5pm Monday-Friday) or the 24-hour hotline 01159129000.
