MALVERN Town visit Express and Star West Midlands League Premier Division champions elect Westfields tomorrow (Saturday).
They will be looking to build on a good Easter period which has seen Town consolidate their quest for a highest ever finish.
Town general manager Richard Anson said: "Obviously, a few weeks ago, the Westfields game was looking that it might be a bit more meaningful for us, but to be fair to them, they have set an unbelievable standard this season and that is to their credit.
"But we will be going there on the back of three good results. We played exceptionally well to win at fourth-placed Little Drayton two weeks ago, and a largely inexperienced side scuppered any hopes Kington had of retaining the title last Saturday.
"Easter Monday's game at home to Wolverhampton United was certainly not a classic, but we got the win I thought we deserved.
"But this Saturday's game will be the benchmark by which we can judge what progress we have made, although we do still have some injury problems to contend with," said Anson.
Town manager Neil Hunt will be waiting for fitness reports on Des Cox and Dave Cannon, who both picked up knocks in Monday's game, whilst Steve Walker also remains doubtful. Youngsters Mikey Cole, Jamie Thomas and Steve Thomas, who have all featured in recent matches, are likely to remain in the squad.
More serious injuries to skipper Dean Roberts and Billy Davis mean the pair are unlikely to play again this season.
Hunt will select from: Watson, Thomas (S), Cannon, Rose, Clayton, Walker, Chalmers, Cole, Halion, Johnson, Owen, Taylor, Smith, Willetts, Hooper, Goodman Cox and Thomas (J).
On Wednesday, Malvern Town are in league action again, when they visit Lye Town (7.45pm).
Next Saturday (May 3) Malvern Town visit Ledbury Town (2.45pm) and then on Bank Holiday Monday (May 5) are away again at Heath Hayes (2.45pm).
