IN-form Adam Webster is set to hand Worcester City a boost by declaring himself fit for their final home game of the season against Grantham Town tomorrow (3pm).
The striker missed the Bank Holiday programme with a virus but is expected to have recovered to take his place alongside Stewart Hadley.
Further good news for City manager John Barton sees the return of Adam Wilde and Mark Shail who have shrugged off knee and calf strains respectively.
Mitch Counsell will have a late fitness test on a knee injury but Darren Middleton is out with a knock picked up in the 2-0 defeat at Hednesford Town on Monday.
Jon Holloway, who has also been struggling with a virus, is due to resume his place in the team having been substituted after 45 minutes at Keys Park. Midfielder David Foy completes a three-match suspension.
One of the bright spots of the Hednesford defeat was the assured display of Dean Smith who replaced the injured Counsell as a substitute.
His impressive performance could put him in with a chance of a start in place of Middleton.
"I'd have no hesitation in starting with any of the youngsters. They did a good job in difficult circumstances at Hednesford," said City's assistant manager Mick Tuohy.
"If we had held on for a 0-0 it would have been a moral victory because we were really down to the bare bones."
Tuohy remains keen to finish their Dr Martens Premier Division season on a high despite the setback at Keys Park but is not expecting any favours from lowly Grantham.
"They are in a similar situation to Bath last season and will be fighting to ensure they don't get sucked into relegation difficulties," he added.
"From our point of view we wanted to get to Dover fighting for second but that looks unlikely now unless results go for us.
"However we still want to finish with a flourish and I must admit I would be bitterly disappointed if we finish sixth because I don't think that would be a fair reflection on where we deserve to be."
City fans have their last chance to buy discounted season tickets tomorrow, while the team will be wearing next season's kit for the first time.
