MALVERN RFC brought their season to a close on a high note 25 years ago when they crushed visiting Gloucester Civil Service 32-9.
"Prompted by stand-in captain Dennis Flanagan, they produced some fine open rugby and scored six tries, four of which were converted," enthused the Gazette.
The second team did well too, beating Gloucester Civil Service II 29-0 away.
It was a good day also for Ledbury RFC, when they thrashed Abergavenny Harlequins 22-7 to record their ninth successive victory.
The scoreline meant that Ledbury had scored 133 points in their last four matches.
