JUDGING his letter (You Say, April 19) Gerald Harris, Chairman of the Board Worcester Arts, Swan Theatre Ltd, having successfully presided over the Swan's demise, still doesn't recognise the failings of the board and management to succeed even with grants of huge amounts of public money.
While under his command, the crucial decision for the future of the Swan to make change was as obvious as was the growing number of empty seats.
Without becoming embroiled in silly political pleas to the majority of audiences who came from the county to attend the Swan, I am confident that under the guidance of Chris Jaeger, when more popular productions are put on at the Swan, we will see a welcome gain for both the Swan Theatre and Worcester's tourist economy.
BRIAN HUNT,
Worcester.
