LEDBURY-based jockey Julian Pritchard fanned the flames of his title-chasing ambitions at the Clifton on Teme Hunt point-to-point at Upper Sapey yesterday where he rode a four-timer.
Victories on Owl Vulgan, Teme Willow, Box Car and Titus Bramble took him onto the twenty winner mark for the season and his career total to 302, and took him into a challenging position behind current leading jockey Richard Burton.
Teme Willow, trained like Owl Vulgan and Titus Bramble by Dick Baimbridge, was challenged in the 'Land Rover' Mens Oen race by the Dave Mansell ridden Suaverof for most of the race but the challenge petered out at the third last fence and Pritchards mount came home easy twenty length winners.
The Maiden race saw a local success for owner Gwynne Edwards and his Slaves Adventure in the hands of Rob Hodges as they were three length winners over Jolly Jake and Ed Walker.
The winner is a daughter of the Edwards family great racemare Stockton Slave who point to point enthusiasts would remember as a regular course winner at Upper Sapey as well as a multiple winner.
Emma James continued her winning form from the United Pack meeting on Saturday with a follow-up success aboard the odds-on favourite Proper Primitive in the Ladies open who despite a mistake at the second last fence was five lengths to strong for runner up Lord George.

n Owner Nick Shutts was contemplating 'what might have been' after the Mens Open race at the United Pack point to point meeting at Brampton Bryan on Saturday after his horse Young Lorcan had won but finished lame.
Young Lorcan who had won his three previous Open race outings was made a heavily odds-on favourite to score his fourth and as he swept past the only challenger High Mood at the third last fence the result was not in doubt but as he passed the winning post a five length winner rider Richard Spate dismounted.
Shutts confirmed of the winner who may have been returning back under rules: "He has finished feelingly and that could be that for this season, it's just one of those things and could have happened at any time and we have to accept it".
