TEARAWAYS scored a vital victory over fellow Toby's Tavern team Independents in the Worcester and District Skittle League Division One.

Tearaways were 13 pins ahead after the first leg, but Independents hit back to lead by 11 after four. But after a strong Tearaways last leg Independents fell four short.

Tearaways now trail Independents by one point, with the Saints a further point ahead.
