CONGRATULATIONS to CEDS 'A' who have finally broken their duck by winning their first Worcester and District Skittle League game of the season.
Leading from the first leg by just one pin and helped by a 15 spare by top scorer John Knowles on their second leg the lead was increased to 22 pins after three legs.
Although visiting side Monarchs were able to win the final two legs, CEDS 'A' held on to win the game by 14 pins.
Elsewhere in the Fourth Division Settlers and St Johns RBL were involved in a close game with both sides scoring mid 70 legs early on.
But when Settlers put in a big 97 on their fourth leg followed by a 77 on the final leg to leave St Johns RBL 88 to win it looked like the point would be theirs.
St Johns however had other ideas and in scoring 91 pins on the final leg won the game by 3 pins.
