MAZAK Nine and Sketchley Floaters continue to close the gap on The Robins at the top of Division Three in the Worcester and District Skittle League.
Mazak recorded their sixth consecutive victory, by 14 pins away against Goodrest. Although two pins down after three legs they scored 90 on the fourth leg to pull away and win quite comfortably. Top scoring for Mazak was P Willis with 39.
Sketchley Floaters had an equally comfortable win away to the Flintstones by 28 pins. Never in trouble they won four of the legs with J Hughes' 40 the top score.
This leaves Robins on 18 points with both Mazak and Sketchley on 16.
Second Division teams should note that Woodmen are now playing their home games on the Worcester City British Legion Club, St Nicholas Street.
