In an epic battle in round one of the Worcester Friendly Skittle League's Eric Wild Cup, (Wednesday teams), neither side could claim a win after six legs between Needlemen and Harvesters at the Portobello.
The scores were level after five legs and in the extra leg, Harvesters' last three bowlers posted eight, seven and eight to equal the Needlemen's total of 75.
With midnight approaching the captains agreed to toss a coin. Harvesters called right to go into round two.
Another close game saw Freshmen edge out Legionaires by one pin. Set 64 to win, they had to wait until the penultimate ball when Paul Grooms secured a match-winning four.

Round two of the Doris Styles Memorial Trophy (Wednesday teams), produced a high scoring clash at the Goodrest between division one sides Outlaws and New Castings.
Set 89 to win, Castings were struggling on only 54 with four bowlers to go. But L. Robinson floored a 15 spare, bowlers 10 and 11 got eight and nine respectively and anchorman Darren Brace, needing four to win, made sure with an 11 spare.
