WORCESTER Rugby club's young guns have won through to a national cup final after beating Gloucester on home turf.
The Sixways under 19s beat Gloucester 26-20 last night at Hartpury College to seal their place in the National Cup final against London Irish next Monday.
Tries from number eight Mark Hopley (2), wing Martin Freeman and lock James Percival plus three conversions from Nathan Holsgrove saw Worcester recover from a 12-5 half time deficit to win through to Monday's clash at Franklin's Gardens, Northampton (3.30pm).
"We are very proud of the players," said Worcester Academy assistant manager Graham Smith.
"They are still young but their fight and heart, their will to win is becoming a real feature of their performances. It is very positive news for Worcester Rugby Club."
Worcester beat Walsall, Doncaster, Sevenoaks and Leeds in previous rounds before last night's victory over Gloucester.
