RUBBISH seems to be in the news of late. But it is possible to cut back, especially when we get kerbside collections in June.
Whenever people use paper, bottle, or can banks, the items should be cleaned first to stop them smelling.
Then, if possible, compost uncooked vegetable matter and try to get garden waste plus cardboard to one of the household waste sites.
The county council provides excellent compost bins, water butts, and wormbins for compost.
I have MS, but manage to dispose of most of my so-called rubbish without filling up my dustbin.
Remember that we are all living on a planet of finite resources spinning in space so if we waste what we have, the next generation will have much less. I also try to use recycled products.
