WORCESTERSHIRE County Cricket Club retained their unbeaten tour record against a strong Kwa-Zulu Natal Invitation XI in Phalaborwa yesterday.
On a slow, damp wicket with movement for the ball off the seam, Worcestershire were asked to bat first and reached a total of 189 all out. David Leatherdale top scored with 67 helped by Vikram Solanki with 42.
In reply the Invitational XI struggled to reach 152 with Leatherdale once again leading the way with four wickets, backed up by Chris Liptrot with three and Mark Harrity two as the County secured a 37-run victory -- their third successive tour win.
The final game will take place tomorrow against an NCD Invitational XI before the squad fly home on Monday.
The team will travel to Hove to take on Sussex next Wednesday and Thursday.
New South African fast bowler Nantie Hayward flies in next Tuesday to join Worcestershire during the final weeks of pre-season training before the opening championship game against Hampshire at New Road on Friday, April 18.
