WORCESTERSHIRE paceman Kabir Ali and spinner Gareth Batty are included in a 14-man squad for the ECB National Academy tour to Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
The Academy will play a single one-day match against Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur before undertaking a four-and-a-half week tour of Sri Lanka, where they will play seven matches against Sri Lanka 'A', a Sri Lankan Academy XI and Sri Lanka Under 19s.
The squad also includes Ian Bell, who has recovered from a stress fracture in the lumbar spine, as well as Richard Dawson and Robert Key, who were members of the England Test team touring Australia recently.
The full squad is: Kabir Ali, Batty (both Worcs), Ian Bell (Warks), Rikki Clarke (Surrey), Richard Dawson (Yorks), Robert Key (Kent), Kyle Hogg (Lancs), Gordon Muchall (Durham), Monty Panesar (Northants), Chris Read (Notts), Darren Stevens (Leics), Chris Tremlett (Hants), Jim Troughton (Warks), Mark Wallace (Glamorgan).
