ACCOMMODATION businesses in the county are invited to attend a free seminar outlining the effects of the new Disability Discrimination Act.
From 2004, any business providing a service will have to consider making reasonable adjustments to the physical features of their premises to overcome physical barriers to access.
Visit Heart of England, the region's tourist board, is organising free awareness seminars, in partnership with regional development agency, Advantage West Midlands.
David Moyser, Visit Heart of England's chief executive, said the seminars would inform businesses about existing duties and legal requirements under the DDA and would be a chance to discuss in more detail about the issues that affect all small businesses.
"Aimed mainly at accommodation businesses, the seminars will be an opportunity to find out more from experts in the field about the legal implications of the DDA for your business, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere," said Mr Moyser.
The seminars are due to run in Worcester, on Wednesday, May 21, at the Worcester Rugby Club, Sixways, and in Hereford, on Monday, May 12, at Gwynne's Studio, The Left Bank.
