A CHAMPION rally driver has attributed his recovery from a bad car crash to a product supplied by a Worcester businesswoman.
Jan Moody, from Spetchley Estate, started selling the Bioflow magnetic wristband two-and-a-half years ago.
The patented magnetic wristband, made by Cornwall company Ecoflow, works by agitating the blood at the pulse, removing and flushing out toxins that build up and cause pain.
Now, Pentti Airikkala, the former British, Finnish and Nordic Rally Champion, has said his magnetic Bioflow wristband changed his life after a decade of severe back pain.
Pentti, who won the British RAC Rally in 1989, broke his back while rallying in New Zealand in the 1980s. He suffered on-going back pain so he could not even get in and out of a car without difficulty.
In July last year, Mrs Moody, who is an independent distributor of Ecoflow Plc's products, suggested he try a Bioflow wristband. Within hours he began to feel a difference.
"Pentti was sceptical at first," said Mrs Moody, who has known the rally driver for some years through her family's passion for motor sport.
"However, due to the extent of his pain he decided to give it a go and within hours began to feel a difference.
"His back pain has greatly reduced - he can now stand for more than two hours - and all the other pain in his joints has absolutely gone and he has regained his flexibility.
"I am constantly getting encouraging comments from people who use the products and it is wonderful to hear that Pentti has also had such good results. He thinks that everyone should wear one!"
Mrs Moody, aged 60, who used to run boarding kennels for dogs, said the wristband was also good for things like jet-lag and exam stress, and it could even help animals.
Because the blood is agitated, more oxygen gets to the brain, giving users more energy, better sleep and better concentration.
Ecoflow, based in Saltash, Cornwall, specialises in developing and producing magnetic products for use in natural health, the environment and safety.
It sells directly to the public through a network of independent distributors.
The company has twice been featured in The Sunday Times, and has also featured in the Virgin Awards for the 100 Fastest-Growing Privately Owned UK Companies.
In 2002, it was listed in the BT Visionary 100 Index of Britains Most Visionary Organisations.
