Side-car racing was introduced for the first time last Sunday to a scramble held by the Redditch Motorcycle and Car Club.
The occasion was the club's open-to-centre spring scramble held at Rollswood Farm, Haselor, near Alcester.
A record crowd of almost 6,000 attended and the dry weather resulted in some fast times.
The 'experts' course of one and three quarter miles was not used, a shorter version of one and a quarter miles being used for the solo machines and a one-mile course being brought into use for the side-car race.
