FECKENHAM finished a disappointing season with a 4-0 defeat which propelled Coventry Marconi dramatically into the Midland Combination title race.
With Leamington faltering badly, Marconi have emerged as Alvechurch's chief title threat and the Millers could end up being the bane of their neighbours' season.
Feckenham have yielded only a point to Church in the two league meetings between the sides - which included a 4-1 Boxing Day win for the Millers.
And Lee Adams' side have gone on to lose against Leamington and now Marconi when they could have done their neighbours a favour but the manager expressed relief at the end of a long season.
Adams was forced to name himself on the bench for the last match of the season and intends to strengthen with the arrival of Halfords as the Millers' new reserve team.
