A 'KNIGHT' of comedy is on the bill at Redditch's Palace Theatre next week.

The Barron Knights have had more comedy hit records than any other group in the world and show no signs of hanging up their guitars.

They return by popular demand to the Alcester Street venue on Thursday, May 8.

The group comprises Butch Baker, one of the writers and creator of the classic Barron Knights comedy stage routines, vocalist and lighting expert Duke D'mond and founder member, vocalist, guitarist and writer of many of the band's tracks Pete Langford.

Bass player and vocalist Garth Watt-Roy, who spent his early years with the Qtips and Paul Young, and drummer Lloyd Courtenay, who has a degree in musical studies, complete the line-up.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £11 (£10 with Reddicard) from the Tourist Information Centre or on 65203.
