COFFEE and conversation is now on offer at a new Redditch caf following its official launch on Friday.
The Coffee Mill, run by staff and users of Millfields day service for people with learning disabilities, is based at the former Knowledge Caf in Park House, Evesham Street, Southcrest.
Jennie Bashforth, head of Worcestershire Social Services, and town MP Jacqui Smith attended the opening and sampled some of the refreshments which will be on offer to caf visitors.
The premises are being leased from charity Step Out, Drop In.
The scheme has come about as part of proposals set out in a Government White Paper on modernising day services for people with learning disabilities.
The caf will be open Monday to Friday from 9.30am-3.30pm.
