ROVERS Sunday kept their cup treble hopes alive after securing their second piece of silverware this season with a 2-0 victory in the Bridgwater Cup final against Cofton Falcons.

Rovers, who won the LMS Shield earlier this season, defeated their Advertiser/Messenger Football League division three opponents with goals from Nick Lawley and Richard Jones.

The division one outfit play their Advertiser/Messenger Cup final against Bromsgrove Town at Redditch United FC this Sunday.

Rovers Sunday are also catching up with their fixture backlog games with two more midweek wins leaving Gary Walmsley's men nine points off the top with seven games in hand.

Meadow Park Premier show no signs of letting Rovers catch them though as Andy Biddle's stunning hat-trick and Ian Carlson's solo effort saw Park beat Bromsgrove Town 4-1.

In division two, Sportsman United rounded off their season in disappointing fashion as they slumped to a 3-0 home defeat against Alvechurch Darts Reserves. Wychbold RBL move into second spot.

Red Lion Hearts stunned division three title chasing Victoria Barnt Green Reserves 4-1 as Richard Skan netted yet another hat-trick to leave him and Blackwell's Dave Wrafter fighting for the golden boot.
