VILLAGERS looking for a funny and poignant night out will love a new play opening near Bromsgrove tomorrow (Thursday).
The Alvechurch Dramatic Society is staging their version of April de Angelis' play, A Warwickshire Testimony.
Disputes
The play illustrates the rapidly changing way of life by focusing on the loves, traumas and disputes of one Midlands' family through the twentieth century.
Set in the 1930s and the present day, it focuses on the lives of Edie Cox, desperate to get away from her family and from a culture where everyone knows her business, and her niece Dorothy, who is keen to hang on to yesteryear.
The show, at Alvechurch Village Hall, runs until this Saturday, starting at 8pm each night.
Tickets, priced £4.50 and £3.50, are available from Alvechurch Post Office, in Bear Hill, or by calling 0121 445 1174.
