HOW reassuring of Mike Cartwright (You Say, Saturday, April 19) to tell the anti-war protesters the TV pictures proved how wrong they were.
They didn't convey Saddam Hussein was dead nor where there was any weapons of mass destruction on display.
And from what I could see of looting at hospitals and so on, plus quite a lot of suffering from bombing raids, places like Baghdad and Basra look as if they will take ages to recover.
Of course, like bin Laden and Saddam will still be with us, as will Tony Blair and George Bush.
I just hope that the Iraqi people will be able to look after themselves in the near future when the coalition forces pull out and the fanfares sound for world champions - Bush and Blair.
