I HAVE to reply to Ahmed Raza, (You Say, Thursday, April 17).
For a start, he refers to ETA as a "Protestant" terror group, presumably referring to men of violence in the Six Counties.
In fact, ETA is a Spanish Basque Roman Catholic terrorist mob. He should make sure he has his facts right before committing pen to paper.
Rotten as they are, however, I did not have any European terrorists in mind, when I wrote my previous letter.
Primarily I was thinking of the monsters of Middle Eastern origins, especially those who achieved depths of depravity previously unknown, when they destroyed the Twin Towers.
It is not ludicrous to be prepared for any action by those kings of evil.
They rely on the element of surprise and are just as capable of hitting Worcester as anywhere else.
To suggest that Britain is a terrorist state is both absurd and outrageous.
If that is the way Ahmed Raza feels about this country he should leave the UK.
D E MARGRETT,
Worcester.
