A FASHIONABLE Bromsgrove brasserie has devoured its rivals to scoop 'best food outlet' in a competition.
The Epic Bar Brasserie, in Hanbury Road, Stoke Heath, was awarded the title for 2002/3 in the contest which is organised by Enterprise Inns, one the UK's largest pub companies. The Epic is owned by Pat McDonald, who appeared on Channel Four's culinary show If you Can't Stand the Heat.
The bar's general manager Richard Partington said: "We have the best food offering for miles around. Our extensive menu is made up of international cuisine and all the food is freshly prepared." Exotic dishes on offer range from Moroccan lamb to Italian fish stew.
The Epic received a certificate and plaque to commemorate its success.
An Enterprise Inns spokesman said: "This award is a testament to the skill, enthusiasm and expertise of the staff and licensee."
