AN angry Chawson dad is stumping up a £100 cash reward to catch vandals who attacked his two cars.

Malcolm Ward, of the Tyning, was fuming when he discovered his Ford mini-bus and Isuzu Trooper had been deliberately damaged.

Slashed

Tyres were slashed on both vehicles and two of the Ford's windows were smashed.

The married father-of-two, who uses the cars to run a catering business, is now offering £100 to anyone who gives police information leading to the arrest and conviction of the culprits.

Mr Ward claims two youths were spotted running away from Bowers Hill car park, following the incident late on Thursday night.

"They are scum," said the 42-year-old."I want anyone who knows who did it to speak out.

"I have lived here for 15 years and we don't want this sort of thing going on. It's mindless and must be stopped," Mr Ward added.

Police are investigating the incident and have visited Mr Ward. Call officers on 08457 444 888, quoting 34C/2550403, with any relevant information.
