A PRIMSLAND chippy has taken the sea fish challenge and come out with 'frying' colours.
Andrew Ellinas enjoyed a double celebration at his Mulberry Tree Hill takeaway yesterday.
Town Mayor Terry Spencer paid a visit to officially open the shop and Droitwich Chippy was presented with a Sea Fish Quality Award.
Representatives from the Sea Fish Industry Authority recently carried out a full inspection of the chip shop, which has been serving customers for six weeks. They made 200 checks and examined everything from cleanliness to customer service and most importantly, taste.
Andrew wowed judges and managed to net the accolade, which is now taking pride on place in his shop.
He said: "We have been rewarded for excellent quality and customers can be assured that we have been fully checked out ."
