YOUNG talent was thrashed out at town tennis tournament on Friday.
Droitwich Spa Tennis Club organised the competition for children aged eight plus to mark the end of Easter holiday coaching sessions.
Using the skills acquired after a week of coaching, budding Tim Henmans took over the club's courts in St Peter's Church Lane, off the Holloway.
Organiser Dee Smith was delighted with the efforts made by young people and said tennis remains a very popular sport.
The club, which boasts 350 adult and child members, has been running for decades and this Saturday it will open its doors to more beginners who want to try racket and ball skills.
"We are taking part in a national event called Play Day," added Dee. "Young and old are welcome to pay a visit and we can give them a free tennis taster session and even provide equipment."
Interested folk should attend between 10am and 4pm. The club regularly provides tennis training in schools and at the local leisure centre.
