Stoke Old Boys 7 pts Cleobury Mortimer 14-
HAVING enjoyed matches against Stoke Old Boys when they were briefly paired in the Midlands Four West (South) several years ago the clubs still meet up for a friendly get together at the end of the season.
Cleobury took two teams to Stoke and after the matches they enjoyed a traditional social evening in the clubhouse.
Number eight Paul Hulland finished off a rousing forward drive to open the scoring for Cleobury with prolific points scorer Colin Smith adding the conversion, but Stoke hit back with a converted try to put the teams level at the break.
After the interval play moved from end-to-end as both teams moved the ball at every opportunity.
The outcome was settled in Cleobury's favour when outside centre Allan Shields took advantage of quickly re-cycled ball to cross for the winning try, fly-half Smith adding the extra points.
In the game between the second strings Stoke had the measure of their visitors and ran out winners by 24-0.
