A 'TURNING of the sod' ceremony took place to mark the construction of a much-needed community hall in Tardebigge.
The ceremony was held last Tuesday and the new venue, which will be built on land behind St Bartholomew's Church hall and next to Tardebigge First School, will provide accommodation for groups and clubs in the area.
It has been designed by Redditch-based architects BLB and will incorporate a committee room, large kitchen, storage, toilets and facilities for disabled users.
The hall is due to be completed in October and has been made possible thanks to fund-raising efforts and a grant from the National Lottery's Community Fund.
