PLANS for a huge upgrade to Alcester High School have been revealed.
The proposals, which include extending the art, music, administration blocks and the main hall, changing rooms and a new performing arts room were recommended to be granted and discussed at the Warwickshire County Council's Regulatory Committee yesterday (Wednesday).
The plans also include the provision of more car parking.
One neighbouring resident has complained about the plans saying traffic is already a problem and any increase in the size of the school would only add to it.
A separate application for a new two-storey teaching block, complete with 12 classrooms, eight new car parking spaces and new fire access road, have already been given to the county planning authority for approval.
These plans are available to the public for inspection at Alcester Library, in Priory Road, or at Stratford Council, Elizabeth House, Stratford.
Representations to this application must be made before May 21.
