IRISH loan ace John Melligan could be in line for his Kidderminster Harriers' swan-song in Saturday's final Division Three fixture at home to Bristol Rovers.

The exciting midfielder, who returns to Wolves in the summer, has delighted fans with 11 goals and impressive displays.

Melligan has been out with suspected appendicitis but tests look likely to give him the all-clear to join in training.

Boss Ian Britton will shrug off transfer speculation over three key players as he bids to end the season with a win against the club he grew up supporting.

The Bristolian, who has revealed his playing budget will be even smaller next season, is not due to finalise the future of his out-of-contract players until after Saturday's all-ticket fixture.

Britton said: "Things will be even harder next season but we'll fight on and try to use the loan system like we have done this year."

But one player whose deal is up in the summer, midfielder Danny Williams, is reportedly interesting promoted Hartlepool who are also thought to be keen on Craig Hinton and Bo Henriksen.

Defender Hinton and top scorer Henriksen would require fees as they are on contract next season.

Meanwhile, interest in Harriers' fund-raising plan to name the east stand after a person or business who wins a raffle has been "better than anticipated".

Saturday's game will bring the player-of-the-season awards, including the Shuttle/Times & News star man.

Former Harriers managers Jan Molby and Graham Allner are being linked with the vacancy at Conference club Telford.

Molby could also be in line for the job at relegated Shrewsbury.
