A TEENAGER alleged to have "tried it on" with a girl in a field told police she had consented to heavy petting.

But the 18-year-old girl told a jury at Worcester Crown Court that his advances were unwanted and left her feeling dirty.

Damien Dalton, aged 17, of Cotswold Close, Habberley Estate, Kidderminster, pleads not guilty to indecent assault on November 14 last year.

Prosecutor Nicolas Cartwright said the pair had got off a bus together and went for a walk and chat.

They were in a field near Habberley Valley when the alleged assault occurred.

The girl told the court that Dalton was not her boyfriend and she didn't fancy him.

They talked for 10 minutes before he leant over and kissed her.

She told him she wasn't interested but he tripped her over and got on top of her.

She alleged that he unzipped her trousers and put his hand inside and also tried to get her to perform a sex act.

When Dalton was arrested two days later, he told police she had been flirting with him and had consented to everything he had done.

Cross-examined by Stephen Thomas, defending, the girl agreed she had been friendly with Dalton in the Zanzibar nightclub a fortnight before the incident.

But she denied putting her hands in his trouser pockets "in an intimate way."

The trial continues.
