OUT AND ABOUT: The death occurred at Salford House of Mrs Gwen Cartwright, a long-time resident of Broom, a stalwart member of the WI and a regular worshipper at St Lawrence's Church. The funeral is at St Lawrence's tomorrow.
On Thursday at The Jolly Teapot, Mr Barry Collier, marketing manager for Age Concern, will be talking and answering questions on Scan and its functions.
A cheese and wine party was held at the Bowling Club on Saturday, April 26 at 8pm, new members were welcomed.
The Spring exhibition at Redhill Barn, home of Louise Darby, the wonderful ceramics artist, supported by Valerie Mead, jewellery, and Gordon Stokes, photography, will take place from May 9 until 12.
Grafton Meddlers are doing their version of Oliver at Grafton Village Hall on May 7, 8 and 10 at 7.30pm with a matinee at 2.30pm on May 10.
