SWIMMING: Two teams from Wyre Forest Swimming Club produced third-place finishes in two galas on Saturday, despite missing some of their top swimmers.
The 14-year-olds took the honours in the Mercian Summer League first round in Leamington where boys and girls achieved three wins each.
Swimmers with Midland district qualifying times were excluded, giving Forest the chance to give gala debuts to Kirsty Hutton and Jack Barnett.
The 10-year-olds were both part of a bronze-medal winning relay team.
Forest achieved nine first places, five seconds and 11 thirds.

The second round of the Diddy League was held at Stourport and involved swimmers aged from nine to 13 but excluded some of the fastest as times were graded.
Swimmers were given a speeding ticket if they exceeded the maximum allotted speed.
Robert Smith received two speeding tickets, in the 11 years 25m butterfly and 12 years 25m backstroke, while Naomi Blain competed for the club for the first time.
Forest gained seven first places and 15 seconds.
